An actor from Montclair, New Jersey, Anna Gustavsen just finished up two degrees (one in Performing Arts, one in Film and Television) at Savannah College of Art and Design. Her love for acting was born while watching Carrie Fisher's performance in Star Wars: A New Hope, and she still listens to Princess Leia's theme whenever she is preparing for a role. She's half Greek, half Norwegian, and completely proud to be a Jersey Girl.
Prior to attending SCAD, Anna trained at the New Jersey School of Dramatic Arts and New York Film Academy. She's been a mediocre ballerina, a theatrical flyman technician (despite her fear of heights), and a weathered field hockey goalie. Currently, she's a collector of cool vintage jackets, and is well known in her circles for her famous oatmeal cookie recipe.
Recent credit Love Locked (2022) just concluded its festival run, winning the "Outstanding Achievement for Comedy Short" award at the Los Angeles Indie Short Fest and "Best Dark Comedy Film" at the Houston Comedy Film Festival. Her own directorial debut short Grog (2024) is currently in post production, and is getting ready to embark on its own festival journey. On stage, Anna most recently played Cleopatra in a SCAD workshop of Antony and Cleopatra.
Anna is thrilled to have been a member of SCAD's 2024 Acting Showcase, which can be found here.
She is now managed by Asteria Artists.
